Has anyone tried this free game? The first space sim I've played featuring Newtonian physics making this game quite challenging but still fun to play. The graphics are pretty old, although if you crank the AA and AF it looks acceptable.

Man, been a while since I've seen this game mentioned. I played their 'prequel' campaign back in 04 while I was in college. The newtonian-type physics is wicked, and can be a lot of fun. It can also be a realy bitch to play, and frustrating as hell if you don't manage your relational velocity in respect to your target/objective.

One of those games where you actually have to learn how to fly a StarFury, not just 'jump in and go.'

i recommended to anyone interested in space combat sims

Looks good...Reminds me of Independence war...That was based on real physics also. (Think i still have it somewhere..hehe)

Good game but a lot harder than I remember older space sims with newtonian physics being. Hyperspace is so disorienting. I remember the dog fight with the omegas being a real bitch there.
