So I know some of you people fix computers for $$ and offer a price break if you can install folding. How much do you do on say a $100 (spywear add removal i.e. general cleanup) fee say $5 or is it more like $20?

Also if they let you install it do you install the console or the gui one? Do you include instructions on how to uninstall or remove it if it turns out to bother them?
 
Hmm, I don't usually offer discounts for installing folding but my outside work usually is for family and friends so I don't charge much or at all anyway. I'd say for a $100 job $20 would be more than reasonable on your part. I don't know if I would bring up uninstall directions, that may leave them with the feeling that something bad is likely to happen. Just make sure they understand what folding is and let them know that they'll never see it (btw, I'd go console). Also, I wouldn't go with large wu's, no matter what their system specs are. Anything that could eventually cause a problem probably will, eventually. There's my .02$, hope it helps.

edit: To be more specific I'd say a 10% discount would be good. 20% seems a little excessive, maybe that's just me. I'd also show them task manager after fah is running, just so when they see it taking up 100% of their cycles 4 months later they'll be more likely to remember it. Show them the 100% and then show them how they can still do everything else like normal with fah backing off when it needs to. Maybe that will help ease their mind? Good luck.

 
$20 on $100 sounds fair. Use the console, service mode, tell them it may cause occasional complete slowdown if they're on dialup and don't mention slowdown if they're on cable or DSL.
