Im looking to buy some B&W 601's either online, or in the Chicagoland area. I cant locate a dealer through their website as it only has options for teh UK and europe. Also, i cant seem to find a dealer online even! they are all .co.uk sites, and i dont want to pay shipping from the UK, sorry.

any help would be appreciated.

you can't buy b&w's online... they are only available at brick & mortar dealers...

if you go here and click "dealer locator" you can find your closest dealer...
 
There is a BW dealer about 8 miles east of me. It is called Soundforum and it is located by Algonquin, IL.

They have many BW speakers in stock as well as several models of Rotel, Anthem, and Parasound amplifiers. They will be carrying Bryston soon.
 
any ideas what the 601s go for typically?
edit: i know they go for retail 275 pounds a pair, but any idea what i can get them for with typical in sotre discounts off MSRP? new to audio equipment so i dont knwo what typical discounts off MSRP are.
 
i must be mentally handicapped.... it was defaulting to the UK site, so it was only letting me chose UK/europe locations... i noticed and switched to US... voila, US locatsiona re selectable. sorry for the dumb question.

To answer one of your questions NAT, most professional audio stores seem to take the MSRP price and cut 15% off.

My B&W 601 S3 retailed for 450$us a pair, and I got them for 380$us a pair.
