Hey guys,

I'm looking forward to purchasing a cheap 5.1 set up, hopefully under $100 canadian. I know at that price range, I probably can't find a good set of speakers, and it's better off just going with 2.1, but I've never used 5.1 on a computer before so I want to try something new without emptying my piggy bank. :p

I've been reading reviews on some 5.1 speakers, but they're not telling me what I want to know. Most of the reviews just say that, " A good choice at this price range" or "At this price range, I can't complain". So that's not really helping me out. I've narrowed down my choices to these two speakers, mainly on looks:
- Creative Labs Inspire T5400 or the
- Logitech X-530.
Which speakers would you prefer, performance wise?

Also, I would need to buy some stands for the rear speakers but I'm having trouble finding any. I've looked through the Speaker Gallery and it looks like some people with 5.1 speakers, just place their rear speakers next to their front speakers...I don't get the logic in that...

Thanks guys.
