well after tring to resize a parttition with partitionmagic i just hosed 60 gigs of
fuel injection info
car stuff
drawing
idea's and mp3
and other important to me stuff

any idea's what program i can et to at least partially recoverthe drive?

excedingly urgent

In the sticky up top is a link to Advanced HDD issues. Read the subsection on recovery, there are many tools listed there to fix this.

the freeware typically assumes you know what your doing

Id recommend File Scavenger (launched from a different HDD or partition, and a parallel OS if the OS is the corrupted partition instead of a data partition)

for repair (after recovery) Disk Patch

thanx

if it does help i do usually knopw what i am doing
but i clicked the wrong button half asleep oops

ummm...I mean "know what your doing" when you have to manually edit this

reference ;)

oh well.... i am superdyslexic so all that was backwards to me :)
that scavenger proggie found some stuff
but now they want money to recover more tha 64kb of each file

indeed, however if its any consolation
its $40 well spent, a utility that is one of the very best around and that will serve you (provided you back it up :p )
as long as your using NTFS, look at it as an unplanned addition to your toolbox, an over due addition ;)

40 bux huh...
i have 5 bux in my account to last me till next payday and still drive 25 miles to work everynight
..hmmm

*hack* rent from mother inlaw*cough*pay only what needs to be paid tokeep it on*

its sad when i look forward to working 7days a week err nights during the summer
so i have money and time to myself...
