Hey guys & gals

Im going to be starting to build my new system soon and want to start buying bits. So were better to start than the case. Ive been looking round the net for a nice case but none seem to "tickle my fancy", im proberly not hitting the right sites etc.

So do you guys have any idea of some great looking gaming cases? any help would be much apreciated.

how about you give us a reference point? specs of the new system, a link to case that looks like, but not quite what you want....etc, ;)
 
depends on your tastes and requirements. Are you looking for somethnig clean or flashy? Pre-modded or a blank canvas? SFF, mid-sized, or friggin huge? Portable or fixed location?

Personally, I'm a fan of the Dragon or one of the similar knockoffs. It's very plain, so you can do whatever you want with it, it's very well made, and you can get it in aluminum (lighter) or steel (sturdier). It's also HUGE, so cramming everything in to it isn't a chore. They can be pretty cheap, too.

Ive got no specific specs , its more of a threed to get people to post cases thay think are good and like themselves, there are a couple of things i would like...

full tower, im not to keen on micro cases etc

Two posts up, maybe 3, Hate_Bot gave a really great list. If you can afford the Lian Li's they look [H]ot!

Those look like shin gaurds stuck to the front of the case.

You should build your new PC inside an Apple G5 case! I think I know where there is one for sale..... :D

Besides the expensive, (must be nice here) Lian-Li stuff, May I suggest a couple from the fine folks at Antec?

1: The Super LanBoy. Classic, Aluminum chassis. A little flimsy, but very good for gaming.
2: The Sonata/Sonata2: Steel. Quiet. REALLY quiet. Nice HDD arrangement (rear load to the side!), nice size, did I mention quiet?
3: Any of the Full tower offerings by them.

Antec makes some of the best cases on the market. and their PSUs and build quality are legendary. I highly recommend them.

Chieftec makes some good cases... their basically just Antec knockoffs, but usually AL chassis.

If you want a cheap, plain, steel case for extensive modding... then look at Enlight. Just don't use their PSUs. They suck. No, they really really suck. Personally, I think God cringes everytime someone takes $1500 worth of parts, and runs them off of a 350w Enlight PSU.

Look around, Newegg, Monarch, and Excalibur PC are all reputable, good sites.

Thanks, I have grown very partial to it... It even comes free with it's very own echo and zip code... Some times I even use it to deploy paratroopers in military skirmishes... :)
 
Thermaltake armor and the cooler master stacker are the two best cases out right now if i had to pick two....they have tons of space, great airflow, and are great for watercooling/overclocking systems.
