Got an old Linux PC laying around? Do what this guy did and make a kick ass Magic Mirror play house for Halloween. Thanks to Halloween Hal for the link.
 
Home automation is cool... I bet his wife wouldnt let him wire up the real house... Too bad, as it's nice to have.
 
Nice, I now have an excuse as to why I need to upgrade something... the old parts can go into a linux box for the kid's playhouse, hehe.
 
that so bad ass.. must of taken a lot of work setting that thing up though..
 
Very cool and Disneyland-ish. Seems like a lot of work for something with very limited use.
 
all those unique sounds, and then all of a sudden I'm hearing "Thriller" when he shuts the window!
 
this is what someone should do.


make a lcd tv into a full scale magic mirror like a 54 inch flat screen.

have a camera that will detect your movements and make a fake model of a zombie or something on the mirror. or make it detect your face and have half of it rendered into decaying flesh.

Would be hard to do but would be cool as hell :)

Very cool setup he has there. Hopefully he updates us with progress and the final result.
 
This guy's got WAY too much time on his hands. Besides, will the average child even appreciate all the time and money daddy blew on a hi-tech haunted house? :rolleyes:
