ok i am a mechanical engineering student and have access to a metal shop where i work all the time. i was wondering if it would be possible to lap a cpu on a mill. what do you guys think? at really high turn speed and low jog speed with a milling bit i could make it really smooth. the setup would be a bitch though... im not sure how to do it without damaging the cpu. i can always just do it the old fashioned way. just an idea i thought id put out there.
