How do you do it?

Serioulsy I've been wrecking my trying to figure it out. After trudging through documents I finally found the converter and found that its only accessable under CCC in basic mode but I couldn't find anything about playback.

I have 7.9's installed and the avivo codec pacage too. WMP refused to play video for which I don't have another codec installed and media player classic plays budt its obvious its not acclerated at all.

System info
x1950 Pro AGP
Cat 7.9/avivo codecs
WinXP sp2
P4 3.2Ghz Hyperthreaded

I'm trying to get it working in
Windows Media Player 11
Media Plyaer Classic / VLC
Graphedit

Accourding to the articles I read today it seems like there are codecs (made by cyberlink?) that will handle the player of video that avivo can play and it is set to acclerate it, there fore the codec is use, video acclearated?

Help.

I knew I forgot someting. The video I'm trying is the open source movie elephant's dream, its the HD version, perhaps thats my issue http://www.elephantsdream.org/

Gspot says its mp42, which is usuable in avivo right? I just tried an old divix file building a manual graph using ATI's Mpeg Decoder and it seemd to work, didn't look at CPU Levels or anyting, no other way of knowing if its working however divix is not hard to play anymore.

I haven't noticed avivo acceleration work for anything but DVD's and it makes quite a difference from what I saw. I wouldn't expect any kind of difference for something like WMP.

is avivo different from avivo HD? I was hoping I could get some h.264 accleration from Elephant's Dream because I don't think I'll be able to play it with HD without it.

I did a short probably not the best test with a divix movie and actually it seems that ffdshow does a bit better than the ati mpeg codec I tried in all actualality it was really not a difference.

Back again with a more suitable file. This time its the Metal Gear Solid Demo video from E3 file name mgs4_e307.mp4 you can probably get it from filefront fileshack etc etc.

I got a mp4 praser from the Media Player Classic Source Forge site and I can render the video... using ffdshow. This is slow and just about undooable the way its slightly faster in mpc which is what I watched it in normally.

GSpot calls this a mp4 contained h.264 file not 263 like mp4 1-2 (maybe 3) is from microsoft.

Can't make a filter graph with any of the ATI listed filters and I never had any cyberlink listed filters.

At this point I have no idea what to do, I've got a valid file I can pass the data off to be decoded but nothig. Supposedly I could right now encode to 264 insanely fast but I need the decoding... bah, more searching.
