Hi, Im trying to watch an .avi movie through windows media player but I have yet to be able to find a good codec that will let me watch avi movies in windows media player. I would really appreciate it if someone could point one out to me. Thanks.
 
ffdshow will process pretty much whatever. MPC (and most other players other than WMP) will let you assign different codecs for different file types.
 
It is closely associated with mpc, but it can be used for any directshow player like WMP.
 
VLC anybody? videolan.org/vlc I think is the link. That or a codec pack. :cool:
