I got a Leadtek Winfast N6600GT TDG Extreme Edition, my average temp when I do no benchmark or gaming, just surfing the net, etc. is 55-57 Celcius.

However, I run the 3DMark 2003 w/ latest patch (3.6.0), my 6600GT can only run smoothly in game one. From game 2, artifacts begin to appear :(. I re-checked the temp after aborting the benchmark, I saw the temp was around 70 Celcius. All @ stock speed of this vid board, and stock Leadtek's cooling.

My motherboard is DFI UT LP SLi-D, the card is on the 1st PCI-e slot (the one which is near da CPU socket). BIOS date 25/01/2005.

Additionally, my room temp. is about 33-34 Celcius.

Wassup with my 6600GT, is it buggy?

what's strange is that your idle is very high, but your load isn't that bad. Read this and try squeezing the HS to the core a little bit. See if that dips your temp at all. If so, you might just want to do what i did and clamp it on there a little tighter.But again, 70 really isn't that bad, so quite possibly it might just be a dud.
 
I believe my 6600GT is a buggy one. Fortunately, this one was just the one I borrowed from my friend's shop. I'ma get 2 new ones later this week. :D

Just another question, will 2 Cool Vivas fit into the DFI LanParty SLI-D mobo? Does anyone give it a try?
