Im reading my nForce4 chipset temps to be just below 50C (DFI SLI-DR Expert) and with Smart Guardian (the only thing my board works with as far as temps go), when the chipset temp gets to 50C, the 50 turns red. I was wondering, whats the average chipset temp people get? with air? with water?

my expert is about 47-50 too, I notice if I touch the HS on the side it pops off the NB, those springs holding it on must be really weak....

I'm tempted to water cool mine, unecessary, well sure, by I can't see myself investing in an iceberq when everything else is water cooled...

I'm interested in see what you decide to do cause thats where I am at also, does not seem to be affecting my OC but I'm only at 310 HTT anyways..

Dont worry about it, those temps are pretty normal from what ive seen for the nforce4.

i am on the stock cooler with AS5 for the moment idle 32C load 44C. you are running a bit higher HTT than i am and the ABIT northbridge cooler is sligthly better IMHO (its copper) so 50 sounds right if that is your load temp. if thats idle somthing is wrong.

Thats about what I get as well. Stock HP cooler on an ASUS A8N32

actually my first NF4 burnt out, because the HS didnt sit right on it..

I replaced it with the iceberq cooler from vantec, a bit of a stuffing but it fits fine :)
Runs nice and cool now :)

mine is always between 70 and 72 ºC

mobo is a really crappy gigabyte k8nmf-9 and tbh im waiting for it to fry and get a proper one..

The board in the top rig in my sig is the same way. I threw a fan on it and remounted it with AS5 and it's still 70-72C.

ahh I was hitting 50C under load, idle is around 40C I believe...How bad would a NB block affect the rest of my temps?

7/16th inch tubing and a D5
