Average clock and mem speeds on 9800PRO

it depends on a lot of things, but a bunch of people have been able to get around 414 core and 730 on the ram (FYI: 9800 XT = 412core and 730 mem). but it depends on a bunch of stuff so don't just slap it in your PC and think you can get those clock speeds.
 
oh well, i've done a couple burn in's so hopefully it'll be ok to get some of those speeds, i think ill try 390/600 for right now
 
oh and i thought my overclock was bad :(

i can get 410/740 on a good day.
 
i got 450 core speed on my stock cooled BB ati radeon 9800 pro.. I was using the ATITool and did the autodetect max core speed thing and where it says "Delta 0 of 0" it went to "Delta 1 of 0" then back to 0 again a couple of times at 444 until it got to 450 and i stopped it. Haven't done RAM yet...
 
i just set it to the xt speeds and went on my merry way. i've done what artifacting tests i could.
 
Ummm what are those high RAM speeds measured in?? i see like RAM speeds in the 700s and stuff how do you convert Mhz to that?
 
divide by two. like if you want your ram speeds at 700 set them to 350.

that confused me too at first. i was like "whoa people are getting crazy speed"
 
bump, yea that is what i was thinking, i was in ATiTool, and i was like, "umm my memory doesn't go to 700" and i was like how the hell are people getting those speeds so yea, divide by half?, that works thanks man for the info
 
My Gigabyte 9800 Pro does 440/760 with Stock cooling.....gotta love having 4x Delta 80CFM 80mm fans.:D


I did have the card flashed to a 9800XT but with the Catalysts 4.1 drivers, my card wouldn't be detected. So I went back to the stock BIOS, which is fine because with the XT flash I couldn't get any higher of an overclock.
 
my hercules aiw 9800 pro does about 445/800 thats with ram sinks and modded gpu cooler
 
i've got a bba 9800 pro here that can barely push 400mhz core. but the memory seems fine at around 365-370mhz.

stock coolling?


guys my bios is saying that my agp is set at 0x, and... i tried to change it back to 8x and it doesn't set it back, am i unstable? how do i fix it?

backed down 10MHz from artifact/error point...

410/370
 
I have my 9800Pro at stock 9800XT settings (412/365), I haven't tried to go any higher than that yet.
 
I hit around 435/770 with stock cooling, but artifacts only in NHL 2002, of all things...
It's completely artifact free at 414/762.
 
im just doin 430core / 690 ram.

9800 Pro with VGA Silencer and no ram-sinks havent tried the bios flash nor do i see the need to do it right now.

I'm doing 453/375 with stock right now.
 
I've got 390/740 but the stock heatsink is tiny. I've got a VGA silencer on the way...
 
my ATI radeon 9800 pro overclocks to 420/ 710 rite now, but working on getting it higher, im doing it bit by bit so i can notice any at all artifacts
