Hello [H] audiophiles.

First of all - let me say I'm a converted "surround sound" headphones to real headphones guy because of you and THANK YOU!

I bought a set of Senn PC350's, paired with an Extreme Music, and did the hole-drilling mod and all I can say is:

Now I want to snag an Auzentech Forte for the amp, but what's going on with the shortage - it feels like it's been ages. Ebay has em for around $200.00 bucks right now o_O.

Anyone have any idea about this - or is it just market demand?

Auzen seems to be having supply problems. The Home Theater HD was sold out everywhere for a long time. Newegg finally got some in stock but they were the only place when I looked.

All I can say is either check places you don't normally shop at, get a different one of Auzen's soundcards, or keep waiting.

You can get a refurbished card for $90 here http://store.auzentech.com/auzen-x-fi-forte-71-refurbished-p89.aspx

No idea why there's such shortage. NCIX used to sell them with rebates pretty cheap (I think back in August-September 2009), since they are are mostly unavailable everywhere.

I'm not certain they're in stock - reason why is I signed up for their auto-notice when they come back in and their main site still lists them as backorder.

Their purchase site does not show them as on backorder though...

Anyone have any experience with this? I'll buy a refurb no problem - still has the same warranty as a new one I think (1 year).
