Been thinking about adding a 2nd psu for powering 2 water pumps and 6x120mm fans.
But I'm really not sure which Mean well power supply would be the best for this.
Looking for some help or recommendations on the size mean well power supply that would
do the job.

I have a OCZ powerstream 520Watt. I'm getting ready to add a 2nd video card on my DFI NF4 SLIDR board. I have 3 sata HD's, 2 x DVD burner combos, LCD display, sunbeam fan controller 8channel, 5 usb powered devices, water temp monitor, uv lighting, 2 gigs of OCZ pc4000, 165 opteron. I would like to have the powerstream supply power to main componets and a Aux powersupply with relay to power up to 7 x120mm silenx extrema fans swiftech MCP655 pump and a MCP350 pump and UV lights.

So Meanwell look to be the best and most used just not sure which 12V meanwell would meet my needs.

Add up the wattages of everything you'll be powering and get one rated for at least 25% more. This will insure that the surges when you power up won't eventually cause problems for the aux PSU as opposed to getting one that's right at the same wattage as what your load is.

I would recommend following this guide and then once you have your draw figured out....come up with a budget and we can see from there.

Two different calculators. 1- 69watts 2- 55watts. 75watts or so should do. Mean Well SP-100 Looks good. Or a good 75 watt.
