• Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.

I've been seeing a couple of posts like this lately:

[H]Forum SHOULD be using the plugin that resizes pictures down automatically and shows their original size if you click on them.

One of the car forums I like to browse, HybridZ, uses a plugin like that, and it is annoying having to turn off java/javascript every time I visit the site. If you guys ever do decide to start using something like that, please, for the love of god and all that is holy, make it an option that can be turned off in the control panel!

Figured I'd make the post, since the concept's been popping up lately.

I don't think you'll be seeing that plugin here. We have a lot of threads where large images are very appropriate and wouldn't want to remove large images as an option. Instead we ask users to display a bit of common sense and watch their image sizes.

If you see an image that you believe is inappropriately sized for the thread, use the report a bad post icon (
report.gif
) located next to the offending post and we'll review it and remove the image if we agree with you.

I think the vast majority of the time this isn't really a problem here.

I think on the whole, we may receive 2-3 reports for oversized images a month. That isn't really enough to warrant a system-wide change. We'll just stick to a manual solution for now.

Great to hear! I'll direct any other folks I see requesting this change to this thread.

Thanks guys!
