We are upgrading our Vault server at work. We got an offer from our IT service partner for a new server

  • HP ProLiant ML110 G7 E3-1220 2Gb RAM 250Gb SATA
  • + 2Gb Ram
  • + HP Smart Array P410/256Mb SAS Controller
  • + HP 300Gb 6G SAS 15K 3y warranty
  • + HP Care 3y
The total cost is like 1600 €

My first thought was, What! only 300Gb for storage? sounds very little storage for almost 550 € cost of the SAS disk and SAS controller. And then there is only ONE disk thus no RAID?

Anyone here know anything about Vault server and how much storage may be needed? Lets say we have 15 users.
