Hey guys, I run DD-WRTx86 in VMware 7 workstation.
When the power goes out, the the board turns the system back on as soon as power is restored. All my services and programs startup, even VMware7, except VMware doesnt boot DD-WRT itself, it just sits there until I physically goto the machine in the basement and turn on the VM itself.

I tried directing shortcuts to the DD-WRT image itself, but that just loads it in Vmware, doesnt boot it automatically.

Any tricks for this?

Strange......I must fail at googling.

Thanks for that man!

On a sort of related topic, if you have ESXi setup to auto-start your VMs in a particular order, is there anyway of cancelling this once the ESXi host starts? I have 9 VMs set to autostart 3 mins apart and there's the odd occassion when I dont want this to happen (patching etc). Any way?

Just disable the autostart before shutting down, it's just one checkbox and the settings are preserved. After the patching re-enable it.
