Auto shutdown of computer?

Hello,

I was wondering if it's capable to have a laptop / desktop PC shutdown after it has completed playing a DVD / video clip?

The reason I ask is that I want to use my laptop as a dvd player when I go to sleep. My girlfriend and I often times fall asleep on the couch watching movies, waking up at 2, 3, or 4am to the DVD menu playing over and over again. This is okay for a TV, but I would rather not do that to my laptop, which I JUST received in the mail (a Dell 710M).

The closest I can get to this is just using a 3rd party sleep timer application and set it for as long as the movie.

Any ideas?

I was also looking to do this. You could have it go into standby after 3 hours or you could just use the 3rd party software, which is what i ended up doing.

from command prompt:

shutdown -t xx where xx is the delay in seconds (ex. shutdown -t 3600 would shutdown in one hour).

Never knew MPC could do that.
