auto-fill/complete forms suck

Why do programmers think we (well I) like them? I hate them. I type pretty fast so I have absolutely no need for such shortcuts. In fact, they always get in the way because when I click the field to type, I let go of my mouse and it jerks to just below the field and selects something in the auto-complete area that is not what I wanted. This forces me to go back and fill in said field again and again on nearly every web page on the internet. It can be infuriating at times.

I know there are ways of disabling it here and there, but there is no way to globally disable auto-complete EVERYWHERE.

Is this your only issue?

Fast is not the same as lazy. Lots of Unix users can type fast, but they still use tab completion.

I use tab when filling out forms.
Enter first few letters of first name, down arrow, tab, enter first few letters of last name, down arrow, tab.
If you don't want to select something, you press escape.
