Auto adjust disabled on my LCD.. ??

I have a Viewsonic VX724 and for some reason the auto adjust is disable, why is this?
I didn't work on my older LCD either.. is there some setting I have to enable or something?

I have an XFX 6600gt if it matters..

First set your black and white levels, then, very important set your gamma.

You will change these settings in the advanced section of your video settings, but first start with manualy setting your brightness to 50% on your monitor, if you can.

I think you will see a huge difference if you spend a few moments tweaking things to close to where they should be.
