Its an interesting bug. When the desktop background slide show changes backgrounds the audio stutters. This is a starting to get worst to the point of the system fully locking up and Windows Reliability History only showing a improper shutdown from when I had to hold down the power button to restart the system because nothing is responding, just the audio stuttering in the background (only guessing here, but the system might not be fully locked up, but just be busy). Other then the improper shutdown Windows does not detect any error and this bugs me to no end because of how well Windows 7 has been working actually telling me what has been wrong or that something is actually wrong even if it can't tell me what.

System info:
Gateway P-7811fx Notebooks
Core 2 Duo T9900 3.06Ghz CPU
4GB DDR3 1066
400GB (2x200GB HDD Raid 0)
Conexant HD SmartAudio 221 (talk about random ass)
Windows 7 x64 Ultimate

Can you run sysinternals process explorer while it stutters to see what's running at the time of the stutter?
