Hardware:
2x Yamaha Studio Speakers (RCA to 3.5 to soundcard)
2x Kenwood Fronts (To Receiver) 16ga
1x Kenwood Center (To Receiver) 16ga
1x Kenwood Sub (lol) 16ga
Kenwood VR-517 Receiver
X-Fi XtremeMusic
1x Phono to 1/8 Jack (Sudios)
2x Phono to 1/8 Cable (Receiver DVD/6ch)
I figured I could run the studio speakers (powered) straight into the sound card, then run the other speakers through the receiver then into the sound card, so I picked up a Phono to 3.5 jack for the Yamahas and two Phono to 3.5 cables for the receiver. I then ran one cable off of the FrontLR to the sound card, and another to the Sub/Center into the soundcard. As for last port on the soundcard, I plugged the jack in and connected the studio speakers.
No go, I have no idea what I'm missing DVD/6ch won't output anything. I then tried to plug my receiver from Aux (L/R) into my soundcard while leaving my studio's plugged into the far-right connector, and success. However, this disable 5.1 in movies, and games and makes EAX useless, leaving me with 2.0. Any idea what I need to do?
