Audio Problem

So my system was working fine, I recently moved hooked everything up and now have an audio issue.

I'm pretty much a noob with this stuff but I have Insignia speakers, 2 small ones and a subwoofer. When I try to play a movie I get audio but no voices or anything and when I try to play a song it sounds like it is playing out of a well. However when I go to volume control and switch to the left or the right side it plays crystal clear like it always did but when it's in the center it sounds lousy.

I had this problem once before and managed to fix it but I can't remember what I did for the life of me.

Any help would be greatly appreciated
 
Check your sound card or on board audio settings, and make sure it's not set up to 5.1 or something similar. It should be set up stereo or 2.1 if it has that option. Sounds like the sound card is sending the voices to a center channel that isn't there.
