So my cat decided to gnaw off the power connection for my Turtle Beach HPA2 headset and am now in the market. At the same time I am entertaining the idea of a sound card as well. Currently I am using my on board 7.1 audio on my Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3P R1.6 and using a Logitech Z506 5.1 surround speakers. I see a lot of people talking about the ASUS Xonar series for audio so I am leaning towards that. My immediate concern is a quality gaming headset to replace the HPA2. I would be willing to spend up to $200 as long as the quality is there. Noise cancellation is not a necessity. I am running Windows 8 as well.
