Audio Noob: Need Help Connecting

Hey there,

I just got a pair of Swan D2.1SEs in the mail today and have been trying to set them up with my Pioneer VSX-1021-K AV receiver, but I am having a really hard time figuring out how to connect them and then connect the receiver to my PC (HDMI cable I assume?). This is my first pair of high end speakers so I've never dealt with connections like this.

Is it even possible to connect these to this receiver? :( Please help.
 
I would go grab some banana connectors from RadioShack rather than deal with those dumb screw-down connectors.
 
I have one more question.

My PC doesn't seem to have a HDMI port available, but it does have a SPDIF slot and optical slots. How should I got about connecting the receiver to the PC?
