I have a problem I was hoping someone may know the answer to. I recently switched from an Intel P4 to an AMD Athlon64 on the Asus K8V SE Deluxe (VIA K8T800 chipset). I'm using an Audigy2 soundcard with Klipsch Promedia 5.1 speakers.

I've noticed that whenever I put my computer into standby mode and wake it up later, whenever I play any kind of music or audio, I hear crackling when I view a webpage or have any application open.

I have all of the latest drivers, and Im using the same card and speakers as before so I'm thinking this could be a problem with either Service Pack 2 (didnt install on my P4 before) or something with the VIA chipset? Has anyone else experianced this before? If I restart my computer, everything is fine so I'm a little confused.

Have you tried installing the card in a different slot?
Does that board have onboard audio, in addition to your card?

Havent tried switching slots, and the onboard audio is disabled.. I'll try switching slots
