Audio card Rec

[H]ardforum, I need an audio card recommendation...

I've recently run into problems with my (don't laugh) XFI audio card that came with my Rampage II Extreme. (its been causing bsods in bad company II) So, I figure I need a new audio card that isn't so buggy...

I had a friend who mentioned: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16829132006, but I'm not sure $80 is worth it for this card...


Just a little side note though... my music collection is 70%+ lossless and I've got some really great headphones that I'd like to take advantage of so don't think I'm cheap... I've just never really thought much of dedicated audio cards until recently (since my on-board in the past has been sufficient)

I just ordered that sound card (Asus Xonar DX) two days ago from TigerDirect after using Bing.com Cashback (12% CB).

There is a $20 mail-in-rebate for it right now.

Everyone here raves about Auzentech sound cards, but they are a bit more expensive. They probably would go better with your headphones though, since some have dedicated headphone amps.
