I got this card about a month or two back to upgrade from a Fortissimo III, and instead of using the install CD, I went to Creative's site to get the drivers. I only installed the drivers and nothing else. I had an interesting problem with Foobar where if I used 16 bit output, the sound(song) would just randomly freeze. This was solved by using 24-bit output, which worked just fine. Fast forward to today, I just reformatted and I went to Creatives site to get the drivers and applications. When I try to install Creative's applications, it gives me the message "Setup did not detect the required components." The drivers work, but now I can't get kernel streaming in Foobar (0.8.1 Special). Is there a way to fix this?

Format again... then install the drivers in the RIGHT order. :D

Edit: Seriously.... Update DirectX and then try to install the drivers again.
You should be good to go.
If not locate and run the CTZAPXX.exe file and then install the drivers off the cd.....then install directx.... then install the update from the web.
Stupid aint it?

Damn you X86, damn you.

But really, thanks, I gotta go get the CD from my house this weekend. :(
