Audigy2 SB0240 is it any good?

I just got an audigy2 SB0240 sound card for building a family friend a new PC. This is out of their old one. It works fine, but is it better than my onboard sound in my DFI SLI-DR?

I have been thinking about getting some 5.1 speakers... i know the the SB0340 sells for like $80 on newegg still so is it a viable sound card?

My card is the same,and it has't got the white connector at all just a empty space but
it has gold plated connectors

well i dont have any white connectors... blue, pink, green, black, orange. Left-Right


anyways some on has to know if this card will decode Dobly 5.1. I am guessing it will. i looked other places for reviews but it is a little old.

someone has to know how the audigy2 compares to the 4
