Audigy sound card bugs?

Obviously I'm not happy with this sound card, I bought an Audigy LS a week or two ago.

It runs well but when I play Farcry and even while I play mp3s some times I get this really loud static and then it fades and then I get no sound what-so-ever until I restart the game or play a new mp3, or restart the original mp3.

This is getting annoying, any suggestions? I already fixed my irq issues with it, switched pci slots, changed a few bios settings and now it runs smoothly except for this issue.

Oh, and I apologize for not providing a solution; I understand that this is a difficult one. May I suggest a non-Creative card? Creative cards like pristine PCI buses, or they don't like to work, as many have found (including VIA, as they have had a hard time making an actual PCI bus). M-Audio just came out with a 5.1 Revolution, it's expensive I know, but hey, it'll sound better and stuff.

Wait, that's not an SFF is it... lol, I see Shuttle and that's all I think, dumb me...

you think its a creative/shuttle mobo issue with compabitility?

Most likely, otherwise, it would work. try the card in another machine if you can; though it is far more rare for a Creative card to have a problem than for a motherboard; Q/A is not a problem Creative has.
