I've been recently been messing around with my old comp to overclock it since I wont be too hurt if it blows up. The setup is:
SD7-533 abit MB
P4 1.8a
512mb generic as you can get ram
Audigy X-gamer
Geforce 3
300w PSU
I managed to get the overclock up to 2.4 stable w/ a 133 FSB, but no matter what I do when I overclock it the Audigy ceases to work or makes horrifying distorted noises. I tried every divider the BIOS lets me to lock down the PCI/AGP, upped the voltage, lowered the voltage, and still when booting XP it either doesnt get past the spash screen or if by some miracle it loads up, there is no sound.
Is there something seriously wrong with audigy that doesnt like to be OC'd?
