should i spend 88 dollars on audigy 2 zs?, or just get like a audgy 5.1 sound for less money...all i do is play games and my speakers are total shit so i need some opinions. I konw the audigy 2 zs is an awesome awesome card my grandma has it but is it too much for just listening to songs and playing ut2004

If you never plan on listening to much music or getting decent speakers, then I see no reason to spend more than what an Audigy or TBSC costs.

oh yea i listen to music all the time, but i have parents and i cant turn the speakrs up too loud so i dont see any reason to pay 200 dollars for some, and also my headphones i have suck right now until i get the sennheiser pc150 headset

The Audigy 5.1 gamer is an Audigy 1, which is quite a bit worse than the ZS. I'd say you should just spring for the ZS.

You know....you dont really need expensive speakers to enjoy the Audigy ZS right? Its a great card and can be just as good with some great headhones (you say you cant turn them up so this may be a great alternative anyway).

Audigy ZS is a lighter on the cpu usage compared to the old Audigy or a live 5.1. Going with the Audigy ZS will free up cpu cycles, which will of course improve the performance of your games.
