I got my Audigy 2 ZS in March and I absolutely love it. It has so many features, so much settings, and comes with all the cool CDs, games, and sample audio files!

Only thing I don't like is Creative's support. They respond but are like the guys at best buy: they don't know what they're talking about. They told me to get a specific Monster cable (x3) to hook up my 5.1 receiver and the sound card and the cable heads are too big to hook the connectors on the card. Now after spending 60 dollars on Monster cables, I need to find a way around this...

Any ideas as well as comments on the Audigy 2 ZS?
 
Long story but I can't return them (no receipt or packaging)...

I'm thinking somewhat about getting somekind of skinny micro-extension cord that uses gold contacts so that it makes solid connections... Maybe I'll have to look around a bit for one that is less than a foot long...

Hehe right now I'm using crappy standard 10 foot headphone extension cables from radioshack... it defeats the purpose of going monster the way I've got it set up now...
 
Hmm I've seen inside those kind of cables before--they're kindof... confusing! lol how exactly could I do it without making a mistake lol or losing quality?
 
oh crap it requires soldering?!? for a second i thought it was some sort of clamping device... :(
 
Soldering isn't too bad, provided that you have a clamp and a decent iron for your first try. DIY cable work requires a good solder job or a good crimping jig.
