Audigy 2 + KT266 = OK?

I was going to put an Audigy 2 ZS into an old KT266 MB, but I was wondering if the crackling problems might show up as they did with an old SB Live I used to have in there. I seem to remember hearing that this problem was resolved with the Audigy series, but it was so long ago that I'm not sure I remember that correctly. Am I gonna be OK?
