Audigy 2 Driver Problems

I reformatted my computer and i have an audigy 2 which will only even recognize that i have sound after i install the drivers. So i installed the drivers that came on the cd that came with the sound card and ive never had a problem with this...and the sound doesnt work. It doesnt give me an error when i play sounds though..anyone know if there is a process before installing the audigy 2 drvers?
 
There shouldn't be anything to do before that. I am still having problems with my damn audigy 2 card. My computer tells me that it doesn't detect the card on my system. That is what I get for getting a card off ebay.
 
I'm having a similar problem. I tried running the card on 2 of my Athlon 64 motherboards and no sound comes out. But the card works on my Athlon xp mobo. I contacted Creative and they couldn't help me.
