audigy 2 and DTS

hey yo

i was looking at the specs for the audigy 4 when the audigy 2 caught my eye with DTS neo:6 support
i have a reciever that does neo:6
does that mean it will output digital to my reciever and do dts?
or is it just gonna apply the neo:6 algorythm on the soundcard and send it out preprocessed?

im quite intrested in the soundstorm 2 as soundstorm 1 was the only solution i know that will digitaly output all channels for outboard mixing
 
I think that means that it can decode neo:6, just as your receiver can decode neo:6, but what you need it to do is encode it.
