My main computer has been havin some issues.....

sometimes when I try to turn on the computer, by powering it, the fans kinda jus kick on for a split sec and jus lose it. And the mobo starts beeping. I gotta keep messin w/ the power for it to eventually kick bak on. And another issue that happened was w/ my waterpump. When I turned on my computer, the pump wouldn't go. My friend says that pump requires around 12V to get a jump start, but once its runnin, it runs lower voltage. I guess that could be a reason why it was messin up.

But now the issue is..... the actual voltage shown. I eventually got my comp to boot up again fully workin. I use MBM to monitor my comp. My friend told me to check the voltage readings on that program. To my surprise, my ATX 12.0 is running 6.84 volts! Everything else is normal, just the 12V. 3.3 is running 3.30. 5.0 is running 5.15. AGP VDDQ is runnin 1.73. MBM says 1.60 shoudl be the normal, so I guess its not good?

Does this mean my PSU is fcuked? The comp is up n runnin rite now, but it started fcuking up after i accidentally standby and tried to turn it back on. I guess the comp jus didn't get the voltage it needed. If the PSU is fcuked, I'll try n get a new one, but o_O!

Are you sure you weren't seeing the -12V. If your 12V was actually 6V, your computer wouldn't be running.

As for the PC not turning on, disconnect the pump and try it. Does it turn on on the first try when the pump is not connected?

The MBM setting for the ATX 12.0, it says the expected voltage shoudl be 12.0, w/ a 5% fluctuation which can still be normal. But on that reading, my comps getting 6.84.

My server's ATX 12.0 on the MBM says around 12V, but mines way off at 6.84.

My big comp thats havin the problem, its runnin the pump, 4 harddrives, XFX 6800GT, and overclocked AMD 64 3200+ @ 2.3GHz. Iono if thats a problem w/ a 550 watt Enermax powersupply, but if it is, then I might need mroe power

It's not 6.84V. If it were, your computer wouldn't be running.

Check the voltage with an actual multimeter.

Also, try to post without the pump connected to the power supply to see if it fires right up the first time like it should.

Its been firing up like w/ or w/out pump. Problem is, my friend says the pump we use in our comps dont initiate unless it gets around 12V rite at the start. So a lotta times I'm just dry turnin on the comp, no watercooling on the CPU and the mobo jus shuts down the comp after buncha beeping cuz of safety.

I tried buncha methods, like replugging my cables and such, w/ or w/out the pump attached. The comp jus stays blank.

Few weeks ago, similar issue. I tried booting up comp, the video card doesn't get enough power @ the bios i guess and its jus ablank screen. Until it hit windows, it stabilized and I saw something. I did some messin around w/ the power cables and it works now. Now my main issue is, why are there so many electrical problems w/ this comp? Its acting like a BMW or Audi. My other comps turn on and off just fine
