I was wondering if this was possible without MAJOR modding. I want to mod a case that only fits ATX to fit mATX

Shouldn't be any significant modding required... almost all atx cases come with pre-drilled holes to allow for atx/matx installations. If your case has no motherboard installed, check for a set of standoff holes about 2-3" from where the bottom of an atx motherboard comes to. If for some reason you DON'T have them, you may have to drill, tap and install your own standoffs (you can get a 6-32 drill/tap/deburr all-in-one bit by greenlee for about $6, check for an electrical wholesaler in your area).

All ATX cases can have mATX boards mounted in them, no modding necessary.
