Hello,

So while wheeling my D8000 from under my desk, I ran over the power cord which caused tension and pulled the plug on my esx box. This was the second time that has happened. At work a lot of our servers have metal retention chips that help hold the power cord in if they get yanked.

Are there any consumer PSU that have this? I haven't seen any yet :(

Do you mean something like this?

Or do you mean something like this...

The Enermax Platimax, Revolution87+, Maxrevo, Revolution X't, and Naxn Adv (not the regular Naxn) all feature this CordGuard system. See HERE. Enermax is the only manufacturer that I know of that have this feature. They make great power supplies (see the many reviews here on [H]) and are fairly reasonably priced.

Ah HA! That's funny, I was looking at their PSUs on their website and they omit the bracket in all the product shots.

Thanks for the info!

I've had power cords that fit loosely, but I wouldn't trust them even with a cord retention clip.
