I found this cause and I think it has alot of potential for my new system I am building. It's for my m-ATX system. I was planning to get a 400W ATX PSU and was wondering if it'd fit in this case? I dont think the 180W m-ATX psu will be enough?

Thats also a shuttle PSU.. Not sure if that would fit properly... anyone know an ATX PSU would fit properly in that m-ATX case?

You'll only be able to use a microATX PSU. If you take some good measurements, you might be able to MOD a full ATX PSU in there, but the truth is anything you could fit in there couldn't use up any more than 250 watts anyway.

You can often use a 1U PSU on a matx if you make an adapter for the mounting hole.

I have that same case and an ATX PSU will not fit if you change the mounting holes it will not leave enough room between the HDD racks and the MB the stock power supply has about 1/3 inch between the mb and the PSU. I recommend this power supply I have it and it works fine
Powering:
MSI K7N2GM-L N-Force2 (MS-6777) (http://www.msicomputer.com/product/detail_spec/product_detail.asp?model=K7N2GM-L)
CPU AMD Athlon XP 2000+
512MB Ram Micron 256 X 2 Dual Channel
Maxtor 7200RPM 80GB ATA133 With 8 MB Cache a FDB Motor
DVD/CD-RW Samsung SM-322
NIC Built in to MotherBoard
ATI All In Wonder Radeon 32MB DDR Graphics Card
Speaker System Pioneer VSX-D307 Receiver
Keyboard Logitech Cordless MX Duo
Mouse MX 700
Case Directron CS-TR100 Aluminum Micro ATX Desktop (http://www.directron.com/cstr100.html)
+ another 40GB hard drive
+ VFD
+ 4 Fans

How do you like the case? If I get it theres going to be an AMD 2500+ some 128 MB video card, a fan controller in the floppy driver (gonna mod some fans into the case...), one optical cd drive and a 20gig HD. The 250psu should be enough?

I like the case just be carefull around the back it's sharp I cut my finger

I have that same case with a different bezel. Mine came with a mATX PS rated at 200W.

I am running the following components.

Shuttle mn31n nforce2 mobo
XP 1500+
512mb Geil DDR
64mb GF2 GTS
80GB Maxtor 8mb cache
Samsung DVD/CDRW
Linksys WPC11 802.11b Wifi card
Vantec Nexus 3.5 fan controller
1 120mm Panaflo L1a
1 92mm Panaflo L1a
2 Sunon 60mm fans
Speeze Falcon Rock HSF

No issues to report, other than it was overheating until the 120mm came into play.

*edit: here is link to the case I got. Found it on newegg refurbs one day for 35.00 shipped. It had a couple small dents in it, but since I was using old parts for a box to play with, i kept it.

They are stating their PS is an SFX

Well I opened up all the holes on the machine, starting with the front. I enlarged the 80mm to a 92mm hole and got rid of the bracket for the fan. Also drilled out the rear 2 holes so i could screw my own 60mm fans in and not use the supplied fan tray.

The machine still wasnt getting enough air as the bezel is too restrictive, but this may not be the case with the one at directron. I had to get more air to the cpu and the northbridge. I was just going to open a hole over it, as I never thought a fan would fit in there, but then i measured... There was just enough room for a 120 to fit right over the cpu. I figured it it didnt fit, I would just use one of the 120mm filters I had laying around.

Of course the 120mm wasnt neccessary, but hey, why not? haha.

This is the only inside pic i have at the time, you can see the 92 up front and the larger 60's in the rear.

The next 2 show the 120mm mounted. You can see one of the dents that got newegg to knock money off the price.

Front I cracked it so yours will not be like that :D also those are not holes they do not let in any air

The lever to open the front I leave it open to let in air

The back

Thats all of the room you have between the harddrive racks and Motherboard so I don't think an ATX will fit

what are the specs on you fan? I have a 120mm fan

Code:
Model WFB1212HE -Untailed 2 wire
Delta 120mm Case Fan 107.7CFM
Bearing Type Ball Bearing
41.3 dBA at 2520 RPM
Size 120x120x38mm
Operating Voltage Range (V) 7.0 ~ 13.2 VDC
Rated Current (A) 0.60
Rated Input Power (W) 7.20
Weight 250g (13.6oz)
Will that work since it does get kind of hot in my rack with my receiver/CD/DVD Player as you said or is yours a 120 X25 MM fan?

The 120 I used was a full size 120 x 35mm Panaflo L1a. You will have more room to play with, then I did, since you are using the half-size 60mms in the back. Let me know if you need more pics or measurements or whatever...

Here are the specs on my fan from Directron.

Either of you order the handles with it? Or know what they look like/where they go? I think I am going to get one.. I'd like the handles on it cause its going to be my new lan rig.. Also that sucks abouts the holes in the front.. I'll have to do something about that.
