Hey Guys and Girls,

Don't know if I’m posting this in the right place, suppose there's only one way to find out so here goes... Recently I decided to get myself a nice new "Atx Pc case" for my newly built system. The new system currently living in the shell of a very old, and nasty looking bugger of a case. With the system shell sitting in front of me, slowly killing my love for the thing I started to look around. With a price limit in mind and a few good places to start looking I logged on. Had I only just started to look when I realized something, there are allot of Pc Cases around and allot of them (not all) are utter crap… Cheap, lame, ugly, and very silly are just a few of the nicer words I would use to describe some of these beasts of human creation. With this new knowledge I changed my motive, and started look for quality that would ultimately last me a little longer and look a little smarter.
After awhile of searching (a month or two) I came across a company that seemed to be offering the right stuff (Coty Tech/SuperPower??), but the company didn’t seem to register on any sites…Very strange I thought, but interested with the case on offer I persisted. I liked the look of the cases that where been made, and after seeing their latest creation I feel in love; could this just be the answer!?
One snag the company seemed to be ether very unorganised (it has two website’s that seem to contradict each other) or just a company based in the middle of no mans land. Advertising products that are being release four years from now. Frustrated as hell I decided to talk to some knowledgeable people you guys, can any one help??
The name of the company is ether Coty Tech, Coty Tech SuperPower, Super Power, or nether of these. The website address‘s are www.cotytech.com, and www.superpower.com. The product in question is the Games Pc Case 88 Serious…

There products are sold in a few places like jad, dabs, and ebuyer to name a few but there newest product the 88 serious Case isn’t sold any where I can find!? Can someone help?? Has anyone come across this company in there search for the ultimate Atx PC Case?? Does anyone own one of these or do they know of a reliable place to buy this product!?

How much money are you looking to spend?
If money +size no object, coolermaster stacker/lian li PC70
If youre on a bit more of a budget, pretty much anything by Lian-Li, Silverstone, Coolermaster.
More of a budget still, well, Theres the Jeantech Phong (you can find it at scan.co.uk)
Chenbro Gaming bomb is a nice case if you dont mind the fact that it looks like complete ass.

Good point I was thinking of a price between £27 - £57 maybe more if it's and exceptional buy... I spent most of my money on getting the system that I didn't think much about the casing!? :rolleyes: Looking at the Lian Li V serious i get the feeling that it looks closet to the 88 Serious but it sure isn’t anywhere near my price range. And the Chenbro Gaming bomb is a bit of an ass to look at, so i might just keep looking...
Know of any other good cases similiar to the Lian Li cases

like 90 bucks, not too bad for good quality.

That rules out anything aluminum then pretty much.
kustompcs.co.uk have the Silverston SSTTJ01 for 64 quid.
Or a coolermaster centurion 5 for 50, are you looking for 120mm fan mounts?
Also, look around for an Antec SLK3000, they are good and cheap cases.

What are your main requirements? Looks? Ease of installation? Easy to mod? Do you need a window?
 
Ok, I will actually help you here. You guys need to quit telling him to get a different case when the question was about these cases. I have seen many of these cases over atXoxide but not that specific clear one. Sorry.

The point being:
A) hes in the UK, so cant shop at xoxide without paying at least 50% of the price of the case in shipping.
B) No one knows where to buy those cases in the uk, so were suggesting sensible alternatives.

Which particular case is it youre looking for from that site? If its one of the 'Gamer PC Cases' then this plus a trip to halfords makes you a happy bunny.

For the 81 Series id reccomend the Silverstone i mentioned before, if its the 'KC7102' then the centurion is similar in looks, but has a bit more class imho.

And ive already pointed out you wont find an aluminum for that price range, but the jeantech phoong, here isnt too far off.

The asus cases listed here are pretty cheap and not bad looking, but id shy away from using the psus.

YOu can probably find one of teh smaller lian-lis for about 65 quid, although i couold only see the pc60, which i belive has the horrible psu over the cpu layout.

Basically theres loads and loads of cases, browse around see what you can see, maybe keep what you have till you can save up for a nice one, stay away from brands youve never heard of, well, at least if you value the skin on your knuckles.

TVersetti:- yeah I can there are a few been sold over at ebuyer (obviously under there home brand) and a few dotted here and there. Problem with the ones at ebuyer is they only have a few colour variations, but never the ones I want!! Thanks for the heads up on the Kingwin I like the easy to go facture but I’m also looking for something I can mod. Edit* Suppose you can mod anything these days...

Herulach:- it does rule out allot but as I said if it's a worthy case I might just spend the extra money. I do like the look of the Silverston SSTTJ01, Antec SLK3000, and the CoolerMaster but I just don't think their the ones. I think laying out a few requirements before I go any further might make things a little it seems like I’m contradicting myself.

The first being that a price rang of £27 - £57 as I mentioned earlier(give or take a few, good case I’ll dish out on it). Second the case must have supports/ stand, I’m going to have it on the floor so maybe it's a good idea?? I'm probably going to want to mod the case as I can see myself making this a hobby in the future. As you mentioned Looks, Easy installation not a need as I’ve built a few computers now and I like a challenge, Moding defiantly, and a window yeah I want to get some LEDS in the case and light it up..

Anyways thanks guys as I said to Herulach if you have anything else to add please keep typing… I've just seen a case the "Arctic Cooling T1 Silentium Silent Midi Tower Case - 350W Seasonic Silent" can anyone tell my anything about? it comes in at £49.95 on overclockers and I like the look although it doesn’t have a window/ stand!? What you think…

If you want it as a project case then dont worry about windows and feet, they are a trip to b&q and an hour with a jigsaw away. Hell if you want a mod project, get a cheap beige box, sand it down, paint it and youre away, it can look however you want, the only thing you cant really dictate is where the drive bays are.

By ease of installation i meant things like drive rails, space to hide away cables, rounded corners so you dont get blood over your shiny new bits (belive me, ive got so many scars on my hands from crap cases its untrue) A nice cheap case with definate potential would be somethng like this

PLenty of room for fans, Decent enough looks, and a vent on the front so you dont have to sabotage the plastic bit too much to get decent airflow.
 
ok the 88 series you say?
It looks to me like the whole case is made out of mesh? If i'm wrong then you can disregard what i'm gonna say
There have been review of cases with all mesh sides and the thing is, there is no airflow. Whatever you want to do with it, put fans etc...the fact that the case is pretty much open to anything negates any airflow that could be there. Just my 2 cents.
