I read the title of the thread and thought that somebody was sending King_N death threats or something. I was thinking people were getting a little too competitive...

The problem with it is it uses points for the current day to figure the threats/conquests though. I've been meaning to send an email about that to change it to use average PPD. Get gets way out of whack in the morning when you submit a couple of 600 pointers and others haven't submitted anything yet. It makes you think that you're a super folder and going to pass everyone.
:D

Incorrect, it uses the last 8 updates(24 hours, not the current day 12am+), it is more accurate then the 7 day average because with a 7 day average it takes a full week to cycle the real data(anytime anything changes). IE: when stanford was messing around with the stats and artificially enhanced the stats a little while ago it caused some serious problems with the 7 day, it took a full week to get that out of it's system and get back to the real information.

However, when I was creating this version of the stats I already knew that someone would eventually bring this up so I added *both*, if you want to use the 7Day average instead simply click the 7D link under the Overtake header.

Ahhh, I see. They always seem way out of whack though. I guess this is due to the way I have 1K days, then 3K days from the ~15 machines I run right now.

I'll agree that the surge of points last week completely screwed up the daily average, but normally it's a better guage than on a per day basis, at least in my case.

In any case, I wasn't trying to piss anyone off with the comment. I just noticed that it seemed to be way off the PPD average, which now I understand why since I have up to a 2K difference in a 24 hour period at times.
