I've got a case that has two temperature sensors built in to it and I want to attach one of them to the side of the copper waterblock on the cpu, and the other one to the side of the copper waterblock on the chipset.

Is as5 epoxy ok for this task, or should I be using something else?

That should work just fine. Just make sure it doesn't get in the way of mounting the block, and realize that it will give block temps, not CPU temps.

I used scotch tape to attach sensors right next to my cpu core and gpu core. There was just enough room between the 9800Pro shim and my block to fit one, and the same with my cpu block and the shim I installed. Works for me!
