ATI's Ruby to me seem more "fun" than geforce 6800 ultra demos, anyone agree? i don't wanna buy a card that is not fun!

It beats the whole "Oh it does better in this DX9 game" or "It gets 4 more FPS in this SM3.0 game" jargon that's so popular these days.

Hopefully thats a joke post. If you're just gonna play a demo over and over then I guess thats a good way to go...

Actually I think he is commenting on Ati's marketing vs. Nvidia's marketing. I agree that Ruby fits the whole gamer image that the companies are vying for better than Nalu. After all, she''s associated with action and adventure. Ati definetly improved their marketing recently. Nvidia needs to stop using cutesy characters like Nalu, Dawn, and Dusk and find a more "hardcore" demo girl.

Personally I really don't care though; Ruby and Nalu are both lovely ladies. :D

Man, I hope this is a joke thread...

But semi-on topic, the chick on the X800XT seems more interesting than Ruby. :p

but the 6800 has friggin mermaids...MERMAIDS!!!!!!!!!

They're from like Atlantis, so they kick it with Aquaman, who is part of "the League"...you know who else is in that league...Wonder Women...I don't know about you, but I've had more fantasies about women dressed like Wonder Woman than Ruby.

Let's hope this is a joke post.

I don't like Nalu, but I must say that Timbury (also 6800) is the funniest demo I've ever seen. Looked very Pixar-like too.

In general I'd say that the NV demos look a bit more slick. ATi is getting better now, with the Ruby demos. In the days of the 9700 it was quite bad. They had such a good card, but if you would compare their demos to the GeForce FX demos, you'd still think the FX was the most impressive one.

lol when you compare the non-cutsy side of ATI to that on nVidias, you see a big difference. ATI have that evil gargoyle thing and the beast on the X800, and nVidia have vulcan and ogre... funny demos, but not "ferocious" enough. When you buy something, especially when a hardcore gamer or overcocker, you really want a "beast" of a card, not some cutsy chick or funny ogre :D
