So on [H] front page i see the little article on this card, Then to my surprise i go to NewEgg and see it on their front page in stock for 489. What a coincedence. Just thought some1 here might want to know.
 
Ha, its not the platinum, and its not retail, and its not built by ati. If I wanted a regular x850xt, i could have got one a long time ago, but thats not what im interested in. the rant is more about companies promising things, and not being able to deliver it in any timely fashion. For instance, the x800xt platinum is still a rare card, even though its been atleast a year since it was released. all i want is someone to show me a link to a bbati retail x850xt pe no matter what the price.

and fallguy, its not below retail when its a oem card. retail price should mean retail packaging in my opinion
 
Who said it was the PE? He asked if it was a good price, I gave him a better price. If you want retail, you can get the Visiontek version for $489, retail with lifetime warranty.

Show me a BBATi card built in the last 2 years that wasn't a rebadged Sapphire [PC Partner] etc,? ..........needs to have the 'made in Canada' stamp on the pcb to qualify... ;)

You will never find a retail package at MSRP within the first year or two of release.

As for Platinum Edition, overclock. As for BBA, Sapphire makes the boards anyway. And as for retail, you can live without the fancy box.
