X800XL : 16 pipes, 256 meg at $349

I guess this will place it in direct competition with the 6800gt. It also doesn't use a power connector. cool eh?

They also have a plain X800 12 pipes, 128megs at $249

This should be the direct competitor to the 6800NU

I'm guessing the x800pro is gonna be priced at $300 when these 2 cards come out

I think the Inq. is 75% BS / 20% rumors/ 5% truth...
Based on no facts but just my subjective view of it.

Doesn't every PCI-E card just get its power from the PCI-E slot? If so then nothing special here.

Well, if I'm not BADLY mistaken, that card uses the same POS stock cooler that some 9800 Pros come with. I'd steer clear of that cooler, because it made 9800 Pros run ridiculously hot, and I'd hate to see what it does to a faster card like the X800 series. When will they learn?

I don't think there's any memory cooling on it either...?!?
 
Just one question bout' the ATi's new x800cards. Why dont they have qlers on RAM, and Geforces have? Well, yeah, GDDR3 doesnt make any heat almost, but still. Why did nVidia put qlers on RAM, and ATi dont?

The x800xt pe, xt and pro...the 6800U, UE, GT, NU all uses power connectors....even in pci-e format i believe..
 
The main problem with this card has already been stated WHERE IS THE AGP :mad: ATI really are gonna get hammered if they dont at least get a few AGP cards out the door?6800GTS 6800U 6600GTS 6600 6800NU AGP's Are everywhere in the market place but trying to find the newer ATI range in AGP is rediculous.And yes i own an X800XTPE and it was harder to find than a Virgin prostitute :p
Cmon ATI get your act together.
