Well, I didn't see a topic on this baby yet. Link to the card. Now, the ultimate question, how good are these babies? Are they just as good as the X800 XT's or do they have problems because of the AIW?

Also, does the AIW make a difference? Or is it just an addon?

Thanks =D.

It should have the same performance as a regular X800 XT.
The AIW is an add on and most people agree that it is better to buy a PCI TV tuner card than to rely on the AIWs capabilities.

I wouldn't be too sure about that anymore. Looking at the pictures it appears as if the TV tuner integrated into the newer x800 AIW is the new ATi Theater Pro 550. That chip has gotten good reviews(as good as hauppage cards) for the one card that is out now using that chipset, so the newer AIW cards might actually be a very nice choice.

I think that people shouldn't judge the new AIW cards until there have been some reviews on them, the quality might surprise people.

Their was a link to a bench mark between a X800XT and the AIWX800XT the performance was exactly the same. As for Video quality I feel its great especialy since you can buy one retail at newegg for 479 which is only 30 bucks more expensive than a regular X800XT
OEM.

Newegg doesn't ship to Canada as far as I know.

I might consider buying an X800 Pro VIVO and then soft modding it to an X800 XT PE or something, depends what I can do with my options.

I know, everything points to a AGP the picture the Interface but the cards name itself is X800XL which Is why I am wondering if the card is just a New Egg Typo or the real deal.

Well the picture of the OEM box certainly has all the info for a X800XL, however I dont see a bridge chip anywhere, it might be covered up by the HS...someone on the forums said he just bought that card from Newegg, perhaps when he recieves it he can give us some info.

yea its the theater200 which is the little brother of the 550pro.

i am kinda of disappointed in my card.

i am on my second one, and this one has texture corruption issues at stock clock speeds!!

the first one had a DVI resolution issue, above like 640x480 it wouldnt work.

halflife2 has texture issues at default speeds , ATItool will not tell me the card temps, or allow me to control the fan, which is disapointing.

im thinking of sending this one back too, every 15 min in CS i have to reload textures or they become unreadable

lemme also add that i had an X800 pro before this, and it neer had any of these issueds
