ATI x800 Pro VIVO mod

Hey guys, first time here,

I am currently building 3 systems for me and 2 of my friends. They all have the ATI x800 Pro VIVO PCI-e I got from the clearence center of ati's shop.

I read a lot on the subject to mod them to XT PEs, but I've heard that a lot of people have failed because their card was lasercut. Do you think I would have a big chance of succeeding with 3 cards on the softmod? I haven't found any info on ati's cards, most of the lasercut reports I read were Saphire's or Gigabyte's.

Anyone succeeded at this?

I don't plan to attempt a hard mod.
 
Yeah I've seen this already, it DOES state that it should work with both, however I've seen a lot of reports where the PCI-e cards were lasercut.
 
Article shows a picture of the laser cut. Just look. Pretty much an extra dot.
you shoudl be able to flash back to the orginal bios if you have problems.
