I just got my X800 Pro AGP card and was wondering if there are any tricks I can do to make the card run better? This is my 1st high end video card and was wondering what you guys were doing to them?

My system is as follows:

Intel 3.2 Xeon
2 GB PC3200 DDR RAM
ATI X800 Pro 256 MB
2 W.D. Raptor drives @ RAID 0

Thanks for any input on making this card run its best.
 
Yes there are ways to mod your Pro into an XT or a XT-PE. The instructions for such a procedure are around here somewhere. I will look and post the linkage here.

Just curious - when I do this, how does that effect the reliabilty of my card? Will it stress the card out and end up taking a dump 6 months from now?

It says I need a VIVO card for this work. What is a VIVO card? Is this a type of X800 Pro or an additional piece of hardware?

This link happens to address your VIVO inquiry!!!

VIVO stands for video in video out I think. When looking for a X800 Pro it will say VIVO if it is one. If you are not sure check the product ID# with a Google or the manufacturer's (XFX BFG) site.
